An eloquent picture of the conditions under which ships can be found: heavy fog, strong currents and winds that carry the boats to the island and shoals

Vista from a satellite looks like a lazy snake sunbathing, nothing portends dangerous.

already entered the new year, family after the holidays alone and quiet but with a devilish time: intense cold, frozen pipes, snow, rising temperatures and wonderful time that lasts a sigh, water, and, finally, a terrible wind that has made me raise the roof tiles that were just September put ... but in the end is what you need to pay for a house in the middle of the forest and a nature reserve.
These days I spent reading, or rather to the review of some things I wanted to refresh and among the books, notes and things left for "tomorrow" I find pictures of a fantastic place to do A few years caught my attention. And as if by magic the next day on TV are making a documentary of Roberto Dutesco when he went to photograph this place fascinated me for some time and which I now and here declare a genuine love and someday I hope to see with my own eyes and make my photographs ...
I'm talking about Sable Island, a lost place more or less 300 KM. the coast of Nova Scotia in Canada. As its name suggests (in French than in English says otherwise) is a sand island, has an elongated shape produced by the meeting of two currents: the South arrives: warm, and coming from the North: cold and dangerous. The place is known for shipwrecks have occurred in that place, there are nearly 400 recorded since 1583. It is called the graveyard of ships. If you clic on the title it will be opened the official website of the place and you will see photos of the museum and the ships that were there forever.
Surely you might be wondering how you can fall in love and such a place which, given my love of sailing, which should run banshee ... but is that the island holds something that excites me more than perhaps it: HORSES.
How to get to places so inhospitable? are probably born to survivors in remote times, managed to reach safety there, and today are race that has acclimated to the scene to perfection, or, more realistically, they were brought there by Jewish settlements. They are quiet, live in good conditions, no one bothers them, they have no predators, are confident and pose as anyone. I recommend the entry on this page: http://www.dutesco.com/ photographs he made in Sable are fabulous.
Well, prepare what I want to stop being a dream and will soon become a reality. Of course these Sandpeople, horses have something in common with my other passion: Egypt. When you are eating grass with traces of sand your teeth suffer wear and tear that the men also had Ancient Egypt.
